Intrada Soundtrack Forum

It's been too long since we've seen a new release through the Disney partnership. That being said, I'd very much like to see releases of the following live action scores/albums:

Treasure Island
Darby O'Gill and the Little People
The Parent Trap

Some of their animated features would do well with a soundtrack release, too. Among them:

The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad
The Sword in the Stone

I'd happily buy Oliver Wallace's DARBY O'GILL AND THE LITTLE PEOPLE; likewise Clifton Parker's scores for THE STORY OF ROBIN HOOD AND HIS MERRIE MEN and THE SWORD AND THE ROSE. I just don't know whether enough of a market remains for any of those films to recommend that Intrada invest the money and time for their release.

I think a limited run would absolutely be embraced by collectors & might even inspire some new interest. Many of Disney's earliest live action films were as enjoyable as their animated features & just have not had the same level of promotion in the years since. The scores were a big part of what made them so memorable & they should be given a chance to be enjoyed outside of the films themselves.

I'd like to see a release of the 1964 Disney version of Emil And The Detectives composed by Heinz Schreiter.
