I'am a big fan of this The Young Indiana Jones TV series and absolutely fell in love with Laurence Rosenthal's and Joel McNeely's scores which were released in suite forms (ranging over 4 cds by Varese Sarabande label)

Recently Roger Fiegelson revealed in an interview online that how much he loves the the music from this TV series and that he would love to pursue a complete scores by the two main composer mentioned above (in addition to the guest composers as well). And I must say this is the most exciting news for me. I have been requesting labels to pursue this for a long time. Im such a fan of this incredible series. While the Varese CDs were wonderful but they were far from complete. I was sorely disappointed that the music from the premier two part episode The Curse of the Jackal was never released (with the exception of the main theme on the Varese cd) The première episode had some wonderful, colorful and lushly orchestrated music as if it were a full fledged motion picture. The gorgeous themes for the Egyptian locale and I loved in particularly the 'Young Little Indy's arrival music at the sea port of Cairo'. I even remember making a copy of this cue on my cassette recorder and played it many times. The haunting theme for the curse of the jackal/mummy and the Arabian tinted theme for Lawrence of Arabia and Egypt setting is incredibly good. the same themes were also reprised in another episode when Young Indy now grown up to manhood is reunited with T.E. Lawrence. Also the music from the Mexico locale also featured some nice mexican flavoured old western sound that i enjoyed in the première episode. The whole series had different locations, cultures and historical events covered in the background offering great opportunities to the composer to write such detailed and colourful scores.

To say the least the rest of the series have a treasure trove of music and can you imagine the volume of alternates and unused cues? So my request to Roger (who is now my champion!) Please make my and yours dream come true by having this great music from the series out next year! Ill be waiting!!!

Hope you are successful in your pursuits to bring this project on the scale that may merit the thrill and chase of an adventurer like Indiana Jones himself.

I'd be happy with just the Frédéric Talgorn scores to supplement what has been released, but it's good to know that Roger has it all on his wish list. I would be among the first in line to buy this.
