Hopefully, maybe someday, who knows, we get to see some kind of lost copy somewhere of the recording sessions, who know, maybe they are, somewhere maybe someone has it, let's hope that one day they get found! But for now, this release is simply great, thank you Intrada, for your hard work to try to get the best release possible.

What a superb release. The sound is just amazing, and sounds perhaps a bit less reverb-y to me. Regardless it sounds fuller and more natural, and having the extra cue is a real treat. Between this and RETURN TO OZ, Intrada is having a banner year for great "children's" fantasy scores.

Sound on this album is exactly how I like it, noisy, wide and not muffled by filters.

Brick-walling must be the worst of all. Thanks to YOU for avoiding all these destructing methods, for letting our flying dreams flying through the widest range of frequencies ! Also, the end title song by Sally Stevens was a really amazing surprise and can be considered as more than a simple demo song, it's really an alternate end credits song that could have easily fit in the film to me, and it perfectly closes the score on the album. The order of the tracks works amazingly well. I'm so happy with this CD since it's one of my 4 favorites Jerry Goldsmith scores along with Poltergeist, Gremlins and Supergirl (yeah, I'm an 80's kiddie

). Awesome job as always.

Thanks for those comments, Doug. Tastes may vary but I personally always appreciate the more realistic and natural sound of Intrada's releases. The original sound is retained but updated just enough to free them of the sometimes distracting habits of the era they were produced. I am always happy, as with NIMH, to hear such familiar and beloved music sounding so immediate and vital. Recordings that may have become routine over time can sound once again like a real, live group of musicians creating the sound all over again.

I'm attuned to generally preferring drier recordings (though there are some exceptions as certain soundscapes really lend themselves better to a wetter sound). Hearing albums like Joe Kidd, The Car and Dressed to Kill makes me extremely glad that Intrada is the label releasing most of such recordings. When gobs of reverb is added there is nothing we listeners can do to reverse it.
