Wouldn't be a perfect solution. You might end up with all the cues on two volumes, but they'd be arranged more or less incoherently. I don't much care for the idea that I have to first arrange the cues on my PC and burn a CD just to get a flowing listening experience.
It is unbelievable though that to this day there has not been an expanded deluxe release of Alien, particularly in light of the fact that the entire soundtrack has been available anyway since the release of the original Alien DVD.

....Plus the rerelease of the movies in the awfully named "Quadrilogy Set".

There must be a problem with the rights, surely; no film music label can be suspected of neglecting this title, and DVD releases have created opportunities for the (re)release of several scores (first releases for Heart Like a Wheel & Amazing Stories, re-release of Hour of the Gun with matching cover art, ...).
