I'm a little late to the game with this, but I wanted to thank La-La Land for doing this set. I knew that it would be spectacular given my extreme fondness for the films, and hearing the entire thing upped my opinion even more.
Ira Newborn really nailed the sound for this series and I could not imagine it having any more impact. Just thinking about Leslie Nielsen himself makes me think of this music. To have such a great convergence of jazz, suspense, hard-hitting orchestral action, parody and sweeping romance in perfect sound quality is musical heaven for this listener.
