If an Isolated score track is released on a blu ray dvd, does that have any bearing on whether a cd release is more likely or less likely to be released as well?

It did have an impact in the past, but in reverse:

In 2000, Fox hired famed DVD producer Van Ling to assemble the menus and features for "Independence Day" which made its debut on the DVD format that year. He was asked in a Q & A about the possibility of an isolated score track appearing and his answer was that the soundtrack label (RCA Victor, as this was 10 years before La-La Land released the complete score album) was concerned about their sales being impacted by such a track so it didn't happen.

I wish Sony didn't abandon their isolated scores when transitioning to Blu-ray, leaving scores like "Legends Of The Fall" and "Jumanji" off their Blu-ray versions (and even their follow-up DVD releases made after the versions which had the isolated scores). Sony had released the albums in addition to the films. Same goes for international DVD releases like "Glory" and "Bicentennial Man", though the latter isn't on Blu-ray so far.

We have lost a tremendous amount of bonuses with Blu-ray. They all promised more interactivity and more content with Blu-ray and we ended up with the absolute opposite.

One of favourite isolated scores, is The Mummy. I hope that one day, one of the labels will decide to release the complete score officially.

I'd find it hard to believe that isolated score tracks on Blu Ray should impact sales of film scores negatively.

In any case, if a Blu Ray does have an isolated score, I am more likely to buy it. I bought DVDs just because they did have an isolated score track/ composer commentary, like HOLLOW MAN, for example.

I would buy the bluray dvd if it had an iso score track from the scores I love.

Just to hear the editing; film version-longer and/or shorter compared to the original album track.
