As this has been out of print for over a quarter of a century, this classic score merits re-issue. In the likelihood that only the original album elements are still available, it's to be hope they're in the EMI vaults.

A lovely Delerue score. I'd order a new reissue immediately. And why in heavens name has there not been a reissue of Interlude(1968)? I bought the LP on it's first release, still have it, and it remains my all-time favourite score by Georges Delerue?

I don't mean to hijack a SUMMER STORY thread, Niall, but the brief INTERLUDE is an arrestingly beautiful score. (Much of that album IS classical-music excerpts, after all.) I have never seen the movie but bought the LP unheard 41 years ago, just on the Delerue name -- and wow.

The INTERLUDE album's title song also introduced to the heartbreaking talent of singer Timi Yuro. Her voice and the restrained power of her performance fascinated me; but after finally hearing a couple of her CDs, I conclude that "Interlude" must be the best song she got to record. And it remains one of my most favorite Delerue melodies.

Glad you like the Interlude music. I really like that film, saw it on it's first release and a few more times too on the big screen. The two leads, Oskar Werner and Barbara Ferris are particularly engaging and it has a great supporting cast. I love the photography and location work. The screenplay was co-written by Dublin playwright Hugh Leonard author of Da among others things. The film is available from Amazon on a burn-on-demand basis, I got it and I was very happy with the quality. The music in the film has some slightly different arrangements in places than those found on the LP and there are a few extra, short cues not on the old LP, but overall running time wouldn't be too much longer I'd guess? I'd love to see Interlude come out on CD and I have no doubt that it will (as I have it on good authority that the original tracks still survive) but it's been a long wait so far.
