There are so many scores released as a limited copy it is hard to say unless you work for the companies. I would say that all the Predator releases have to be up the top somewhere due to the first couple of limited editions selling out on the first day and the latest predator edition which is unlimited sold out its first batch in a few days. If this is anything to go by that specific album by intrada released about one year ago could still be selling high even still.

I was going to answer, but I'll just say this:

No. Predator likely isn't even in the 100.

It's probably some mega box office big budget score from some overblown film like Titanic. The first million seller Varese Sarabande had on their hands was Ghost (Maurice Jarre), according to what I've read online. Must have made Varese a household name for awhile judging by some of their products after that point, Beach Boys, Mama's And The Papa's, that sort of horseshit. I knew the label reached an all time low after hearing a DJ on some 60's oldies radio station giving away a Varese Sarabande disc as part of an call in contest some years ago. Someone must have sold their skin to the devil somewhere along the way. (imo)

The best selling soundtrack of all time is Titanic by a huge, iceberg-sized margin, and that record will never be beaten.

The Bodyguard (45 millions of copies worldwide) contains only 1 score track by Alan Silvestri. It's the best selling soundtrack of all times.
Titanic has sold around 30 millions of copies worldwide. All tracks were composed by James Horner, so he is really the king of the world, indeed.

Yeah but how many copies has Henry Mancini's Peter Gunn sold worldwide since the late 1950's? I would have to think it's over 45 million.

Dirty Dancing and Top Gun must be up there if the bodyguard is high. Im sure I read something once saying that the top 3 were top gun dirty dancing and then purple rain. I should have been more specific but I was thinking of film scores when I originally started the thread.

If we can only count scores such as the ones we buy from intrada etc... what would be the highest? Predator must be up there!

I'll venture that if the definition includes song and background scores, SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER might be the top seller.
