Well, my father knew a junk man named Piatte who would show up occasionally in an old station wagon full of odds and ends he had collected over a period of time. We used to buy all kinds of stuff from the guy, once he had some old LPs in his wagon, the soundtrack to Picnic (George Duning) was in the box of records we bought, I loved listening to that recording, I was probably about ten years old at the time. Wasn't until about eight years later when I began buying film music recordings but I've always remembered that LP of Picnic.
