Intrada Soundtrack Forum

I'm watching this film on TV (I've seen it many times before), and I figured it is worth mentioning here even though it has been demanded in other areas of the forum.

The score is loaded with great spoofs of highly recognizable music, with one of my favorites being a rip-off of Mancina's score for Speed during the bus scene.

It also demonstrates Conti's wonderful sense of rhythm. The cheesy main theme by Weird Al Yankovic ties everything together quite nicely.

I hope there are no restrictions to releasing a soundtrack of Conti's complete score along with the Weird Al Yankovic song.

This would be most welcome after WRONGFULLY ACCUSED which came out a while ago. Funny. I too just watched it on tv (thanks to Comcast) a couple of days ago. BC certainly had a fun time with this score.

Anyone with a decent sense of humor needs this soundtrack.

It should certainly sell better than Wrongfully Accused, which of course is also great.

Ok, it's rare I laugh out loud to music, but here I did. Jeopardy? I Wow.

I wonder if those quotes are what's keeping it from being released as I see a lot of requests for it. I'm certainly in for one based on those two tracks anyway.

I've been wanting this for a long time. Let's do it!

I've also wondered whether the references to other works would pose too much of a costly challenge. The score is packed with them. Although, I would imagine that the more vague spoofs of other scores, like Brad Fiedel's score to True Lies or Eric Serra's score to GoldenEye and so on, is fair game.

There is not a single dull moment in this score.

I should add that the person working on the liner notes should have a blast with this project. Pointing out all of the quotes on a track-by-track basis would be fun.

Of course, Conti also made fun of himself with numerous aptly placed Rocky references.

I hope this becomes a reality for the score & the theme song.

Scotti Bros. Records released the Cliff Hanger sdtk back in 1993, and Intrada re-released the expanded score in 2011. So if Intrada can get the rights to the score & theme song that would be sweet.

Leslie Nielsen is my favorite comedic actor. Spy Hard and Wrongfully Accused were two of my favorite comedies growing up (still are), and when Intrada released the latter, I was overjoyed. It'd be amazing if you guys could treat us to the former as well.

When the Weird Al medley ends during the credits, and then immediately starts over again. Genius lol
