INTRADA Announces Leonard Rosenman's STAR TREK IV

You got the rights to the art, would it be laggal to simply host it somewhere, like Photobucket, ImageShack.us, etc.?

Or load it somewhere like MegaUpload for all user to go and get?

Just some thoughts. I could care less. I use CD's, no iPlastic anything.

Ordered it last night, finally. Christmas was lean for me this year but I knew I couldn't let this one get away (raging I didn't get the FRIGHT NIGHT blu ray and CD combo when I had the chance).

Thanks guys for releasing this. I'm torn between the choice of cover art. I've grown up with the main artwork with the Bird of Prey on the cover but I love the teaser image as well. We didn't get any of the teaser art when the film came out here in Ireland so I don't know which I like more!

Now, there's only the Motion Picture and Undiscovered Country left to get proper releases! Woo-Hoo!

I ordered this and Up mid-month (from Screen Archives, sorry).

Come January 4th, two marvelous releases from Intrada will come to me as late christmas presents (Wife simply said "Get what you want, merry christmas", which works for me).

I'm happy Intrada is getting their slice of the Star Trek Expansion pie. One more OST made obsolete.

or does Williams Shatner's image on the poster cover mildly resemble Jared Fogle,
the man fondly referred to as The Subway Guy?

Well, I got this last night (from Screen Archives, sorry) and it is a superb presentation, and fits perfectly with the FSM/SAE/Retrograde Star Trek II and III CDs.

Did not really like this score back in 86. I was so disappointed Goldsmith or Horner did not score this, but as the years went by it became a guilty pleasure and something I quite liked. The restoration improves things massively and the sound is more full bodied too. Pleased to have the alternates, especially the Whaler, which opens with one of the few things I did like - the European prologue music. Very cool Rosenman moment. All in all stunning effort and now a fun listen.

I saw the film for the first time recently and listened to the Intrada release. I vastly prefer parts II and III as films, but the score for part IV is perfect for the film with its cheerfulness and good old fashioned 80s cheese mixed in.

P.S. I find the "I Hate You" song to be awful in every way, even on a comedic level.

Just wanna say THANK YOU to Intrada and the F-Men for making this release available. My best friend and I had a blast a couple nights ago playing it (more than once) and recalling our experiences seeing the film multiple times back in the '80s. Great sound, great notes, great everything. And while it may be insignificant for some, I am thrilled to finally have that brief opening on the main title. Always loved those quietly swelling notes leading us into space...

Also loving this release, even though it's kind of an odd-duck TREK score, I always
liked it as well - but I had to post BIG BIG BIG kudos for the art design on this,
matching the other TREK expansion we've had. Not sure why, but I just love the look
of this, have a feeling 'Doc Kendall had a hand in that
