Joel's website has a photo montage of CD releases, mixed in with future releases. Among them hiding ion hte back was "Star Trek: first Contact"; when I pointed that out on his messege board, he or George (the dopple-Doug) admitted to being caught.

This was about two years. But none of the CD's so far have been released, so I suspect they've just been too busy over there at Goldmore Studios. But now with time inbetween gigs (assuming he's not scoring something now that hasn't been reported), I assume it's going back to speed.

I guess he made some kind of deal.

It was also about two years ago that MV (LLLR) replied about ST:TMP that there were some things to work out that would take some time. He didnt' say whether that was his time, or another labels.


Insurrection and Nemesis are up in the air, but if Paramount if trying to get this done, as the ST:IV release statement indicated, I'm betting Varese is either plowing ahead with those, are or have been conjuled out of the rights. And since GNP seems to be defunct, I bet some label bought the rights off them.

Re: Star Trek VI - I'm not a betting man, but my money is on Intrada for this one with the same team: Lukas producing, Mike Matessino mixing, and Jeff Bond, uh, liner noting.

Re: Star Trek: TMP - Jeff Bond also mentioned on Trekmovie.com that there were some issues to be worked out with this one (as well as with the TOS scores)... this one'll probably be a La-La Land release and my fingers are crossed for Comic-Con or Christmas 2012

Re: Star Trek: Nemesis - since Varese Sarabande has revisited a couple of Marco Beltrami's scores with Deluxe Editions, maybe we'll get a Deluxe Edition of Nemesis when J.J. Abrams' new Trek film is released (wishful thinking)... not to mention it was Jerry's third to last score and his last Star Trek score so there is some sentimental value here

Re: GEN, FC, and INS - yeah, not too sure about these ones... on one hand, the fact that Lukas couldn't secure the entire "Best of Both Worlds" score for the Ron Jones set doesn't bode well, but I've learned that not everything that applies to Title X will apply to Titles Y or Z... plus GNP (or whatever its present incarnation is) can't be blind to the popularity of these Trek reissues and if anyone can make a deal, it'll be Lukas and/or M.V. and the gang... what about BSX?

I think the idea that LLL do TMP and Intrada does VI makes some sense. FSM did both Horner, LLL can do both Goldsmith and Intrada do both the "misfits"/one Trek wonders/whatever.

I do apologize if this has been posted and I simply missed it, but I did check fairly thoroughly to make sure.

Is there an update available for when this is expected to begin shipping?
