Sometime in the next 2 or 3 months Disney's California Adventure in Anaheim, CA will premier a multimedia water and light show. It will include a large projected movie on a screen the likes of which have never been seen. The screen can be between 50 to 80 feet high depending on wind (this is outdoors). The width of the screen will be 320 feet. Read it again. 320 feet. It takes 6 well space projectors to unify an image this wide and this high in a clear image projected onto water. The show will last 25 minutes and be themed around the transference in 1964 from Disney's TV show being called Disneyland (in black and white) to a color show called Disney's Wonderful World of Color. The show will be based on this theme and have intermixed stories from the Disney vault. The music score (I have heards parts of it) are typical of the IMAX movies you have listed above. Very much like their show Fantasmic! which has some really great score moments. Hope you get a chance to see it. Also hoping for a score album. Since the performance will run 25 minutes they would probably have to include entrance and exit music as well as other items to flesh out a full CD of at least 40 minutes. Also the show will be adaptable to Halloween themes and Xmas during the appropriate seasons although the demand is expected to keep the single new show in place nightly for at least a year. Viewing area is 9000 plus with a small overflow area off one of the rides near by. They expect demand when advertising on TV rolls out to be 2 shows a day for well into the future. Get there early. Since November last year many people have been taking video of rehearsals visible from the hotels in the area. Their videos and official Disney videos can be found on youtube.
