That would be so cool, this is the best score I ever heard from Young !

I prefer his, oddly enough, rejected score to "An Unfinished Life". Never did care for his most popular, and the constantly praised, like the recent "Preist".

Yeah, this cat got out of the bag. And none of the hamsters caught up with the cat, either. Oh, well. I admit this is what I personally consider to be Young's most impressive score... powerful, exciting, melodic, harmonically accessible one moment and ferociously disjointed the next. Just great stuff! More music than you've heard before, too!

And is it just me or does anyone else find the movie to be one of the best throwbacks to those fantastic disaster/thriller/sci-fi whatevers that we all used to go see on a Friday night? (The critics sure didn't seem to think so.)

I LOVE the movie. It's not perfect (the whole Project Destiny/Destini - it's spelt both ways at different times - thing is mad, and screenwriter John Rogers has said it was added at studio behest; the Golden Gate Bridge scene is let down by only showing just the one guy in his car and the London scene at the beginning is atrociously acted) but overall it's a great adventure, not science-fact, but science-fun, and the acting is beautiful. I like it when movies want us to care about the people who die, and this one certainly does, Aaron Eckhart is superb at selling all that.

The score is incredibly great, and seeing as I never got a shot at the promo, I'm very excited to know this is coming.

Back when I posted at TrekBBS, "The Core" was the mark of evil and the scruge of posters everywhere.

The film had an advertisement banner that played video automatically, WITH AUDIO. It was buggy, or too high quality, or something, and it would slow the page down, cause it to error, and you'd always have t listen to: "Electrical superstorms!".

We all freakin' hated that damn thing.
