Anyone else pick this one up? I have a soft spot for the film version of "The Comedians", warts and all, and never in a zillion years thought we'd get a complete release of Rosenthal's score! Back before I knew about this stuff the way Rosenthal has minor key "happy island" music bubbling away over queasy-sounding string harmonies (?) always turned me on and hearing all the detail the way one can on the new CD is just fantabulous! All slinky, psychotic sinuousness from beginning to end. Gorgeous!
The LP presentation of "Hotel Paradiso" sounds better than ever before as well, but it was the hour plus of "Comedians" that sold me this one.
