I have the Prometheus edition of Cherry 2000 paired with No Man's Land, so my primary interest in this disc is the House of God suite.

I first saw Cherry 2000 on cable. Lester's theme and (what I now recognize as) the Spaghetti Western influences kept me in rapt attention despite how truly awful the movie was; the score also didn't take itself too seriously, and some of the little 'marking time' moments like "Lester Follows" are so witty (from a musical perspective that is). I found out about the Varese club release right after it had just sold out, and when that eventually started showing up commanding eBay prices of Biblical proportions, I gave up any hope of actually owning a copy. That said, I find it ironic that I will now own two editions of this score that continually eluded me.

"Trashin' Sky Ranch" is one of my all-time favorite Basil Poledouris cues.

Ordered this the day of release and have just now gotten around to listening to it. Wow! Pick up a copy if you haven't. I don't know if this was discussed, but a great deal of Cherry 2000 reminded me of Robocop. So, if you like Robocop, I would strongly suggest grabbing a copy - while you still can. Thanks to Intrada for exposing me to a hidden treasure that I probably wouldn't have had the pleasure of experiencing!

This release was so very welcome. I have the Club release from Varese, but this one just knocked my socks off. I had forgotten how much I loved the score to this cult film. Great stuff (CHERRY 2000)

HOUSE OF GOD is excellent. Donald Wyre (director) and Basil Poledouris had also worked on AMERIKA (a terrific, under-rated mini-series) together. The results for this were just as amazing.

As others have said... pick it up. Doug and company have done a great job with this. Thanks

Another awesome year with Intrada... 2012

I am now a proud owner of Cherry 2000!! I just got done listening to it, and I can definitely say that it is one of Poledouris' BEST works.

Before this, I had never owned a copy of Cherry 2000, so this release is very welcome. In fact, my own mother listened to this score and she said she enjoyed it. So, I would like to give a big "thank you" to Intrada, and all the hamsters who worked on this album.

Also, this marks my second Poledouris score to own. Next one for me to get, is CONAN!

I just bought CHERRY 2000 after listening to the samples and because it is going out of print. First I bought it via SAE, all seemed ok, but the CD was not included ( i was not charged for it). although i had it in my basket while ordering and the order was confirmed incl. cherry 200. so they are sold out.

So i ordered it from Intrada directly. Got it and I was very surprised how good it is.

Get it from intrada while you still can. It is a very listenable score. If you like Poledouris you must have it in your collection. It is really good!!

I am very surprised it is not alreday sold out, especially after the going-out of print announcement from almost two weeks ago.
