I have to say, I like this approach more than the FSM mega box-set model.

By having separate volumes, you have the following advantages:

- Each volume is an affordable item by itself, negating the need for a massive purchase up front.
- There may be some episode scores that are not wanted by someone (rather rare I would hope for these scores).
- There is a fun sense of anticipation as to what/what's on the next volume.

I've been enjoying this release for the past several weeks. I made the mistake of originally listening to this on earphones which apparently reveals more of the weakness of how this was recorded (harshness and distortion). I was completely amazed the first time I played it on speakers through my home audio system. The orchestra has incredible presence, and any distortion is nearly unnoticable. It sounds absolutely incredible. I'm dissapointed the DVD set for the series apparently used the monaural tapes for mastering of the soundtrack, as it sounds very weak and lifeless compared to this CD. Playing track 41 over the opening credits, and track 1 over the closing credits shows just how good the DVD set could have sounded.
