Everyone has his own taste ! When you are producing a CD that will please most of the people, you obviously have to make decisions, just like Jerry Goldsmith had to make his own during the composition and recording of the score.
And who better than Doug could know how Jerry would have wanted it ? Me ? Just because I have a personal taste ? I never approached Jerry Goldsmith, I never spoke with him, I never saw him working, I never attended any recording session of his scores... How would I know better than than the man who has been producing CDs for Jerry during all those years ?
Time to be humble and recognize that we are just spoiled fans craving for more, and that Doug is a legend in the field of film music albums production, in the same sense that Jerry is a legend of film scoring.

Hi haven't posted here in awhile, but I thought I'd tell you guys who haven't been following things at FSM, thanks to the new STAR TREK V score, which I recently received, Goldsmith has now become one of my favorite composers! I also just received FIRST BLOOD which I love! I realize what I have been missing out on. I have a lot of catching up to do, and I'm looking forward to it!

Bounty hunters being what they are these days, a backup plan that will sort out this whole mess might be that every record label producer would have to promise to get UninvitedGuest's explicit approval for all their plans before moving forward. Then he would be happy. Simple.

In fact you disrespect their creative position, to be more specific. You have the right to disagree with their decisions, but admit that their right to produce the album they want is even stronger.
It's their music (for the composers), it's their label, it's their money, it's their (wonderful) job and hard work. They're doing this with passion, they're completely devoted to this, they're making their dreamed albums. And when you come over complaining, you just crush those dreams and hard efforts to accomplish them. Yeah sorry but I call that disrespect.
