Intrada Soundtrack Forum

This composer is gravely underrepresented on disc, with only one of his scores in existence on CD - "Frozen Assets" on the Colossal label, an offshoot of Varese Sarabande.

I would love to start seeing his animation scores surface onto CD, but just about anything from Mr. Tavera would make me happy at this point. I believe he works primarily at Disney and Universal. For example, Rocketman or Mr. Magoo.

I agree with the suggestions of RocketMan and Mr. Magoo; those have been on my want list for some time now. Both are wild and fun comedy scores, each with fine, enjoyable main themes. I'd buy 'em.

Sonic SaTAM is a very good score indeed.

Yeah ! SONIC SatAM is definitely a very good score, with a strong heroic main theme (ala BACK TO THE FUTURE) typical from Michael Tavera, and a powerful villain theme, and excellent action/suspense tracks during the infiltration/espionage scenes in Robotropolis ! I continue to think that someone must release all this stuff, as this is probably one of the best work from Tavera !

I remember watching the show briefly and immediately loved Robotnik's theme with the supporting strings!

At Michael Tavera's website, there are definitely full cues from Rocketman, Mr. Magoo, and Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves--I don't know what the others are. The first two are favorites of mine, and I think the clips here are pretty representative of some of the quality.

I'm not sure about "A Stroll" or "Second Thoughts," but I'm PRETTY sure "Look Around" is from Mr. Magoo (not sure enough to list it as such, though--it's been a while since I've seen these).
