You know what Goldsmith album, or score, always gets ignored, and it rather frustrates me? Sleeping with the Enemy. I absolutely adore the Berlioz-layered music atop Goldsmith's orchestral and electronic elements. Morning on the Beach, alone, is beautiful, moving music.

Only the ones I did not like at all, like:

"The Last Castle"
"The Sum of All Fears"
"Timeline"

THE PRISONER

Good call on SLEEPING WITH THE ENEMY -- just a jaw-droppingly gorgeous theme. I was just enjoying Louise DiTullio's rendition on her new CD, THE HOLLYWOOD FLUTE.

Let's see ... going back through his filmography ...

I wouldn't call A PATCH OF BLUE neglected, exactly -- not by devotees, although maybe by the younger generation -- but I don't think it gets the attention it deserves. WILD ROVERS is another in this category.

MACARTHUR always seems to get overshadowed by PATTON, but is its own score, and a wonderful one at that.

THE LONELY GUY has only two officially released tracks, but is a terrific little dynamo of a score.

LINK is oft-demanded for its scarcity, but I adore the music. It has that patented Goldsmith madcap energy, and the themes are off-kilter brilliance. The unexpected rhythms of the love theme are particularly refreshing. I want someone to re-release (and hopefully expand) this so I can upgrade my cassette tape!

It seems like the reputation of STAR TREK V has improved over the years, as distance from Goldsmith's TNG scores is gained. Personally, I think it's far and away the best score in the franchise after the original.

MR. BASEBALL is often treated as a joke, probably on account of the whimsical main theme. But it's really quite a beautiful score, with a tender love theme that I never get tired of.

Finally, who talks about DENNIS THE MENACE anymore? It's a real charmer, with some great solo writing. And I love how the villain theme winks at the wolf's theme from Prokofiev's PETER AND THE WOLF.

I agree with you and besides Warlock add another great works of the genious as The Red Pony, Leviathan or The Shadow to mention some that I like

WARLOCK was one of my least favourites but it's grown on me in recent years, unlike HIGH VELOCITY. And LILIES OF THE FIELD, because of that jaw-droppingly unlistenable gospel number.

Is there ever much discussion on FOREVER YOUNG?
