Problem with track 5 of Wind (Basil Poledouris/BSX)

First let me say that it's a wonderful score and a great initiative from BSX to have released this long out of print score !
My concern is about the 5th track, which is ending in a very odd way, like if it had been roughly cut by mistake. Since I don't own the original release and haven't seen the movie, I can't say if it's a normal editing thing or if there is a problem with the CD.
Thanks to those who can inform me about this issue.

Somebody else asked the very same question on FSM board 3 days ago. MikeJ from FSM answered this:

"Windward Work and Downwind are supposed to go together to form one long track. But they've been broken up like this since the original album release and that's the way Basil wanted it, I'm told."

I've been told that BSX wrongly let a 2 seconds silence between tracks 5 & 6, where the tracks are supposed to follow each other without any silence. I guess we shouldn't expect them to correct that mistake. If only every label was just like Intrada !! *wish*

The replacement discs are in the manufacturing process. For those of you who ordered this from other retailers, just bring this to their attention and we will be providing them with replacement discs as well.

Oh, yes fantastic, it's one of the best Poledouris scores, sometimes it's recalling Flesh & Blood to me ! The addition of this score on the CD meant a blind buy to me... through Intrada store. :wink:

I'm more than impressed ! Intrada is surely a good example for the other labels ! I'm happy I bought the CD from the Intrada store, coz I'd bet Intrada will send the replacement discs as soon as they get them from BSX !
