I was 15 years old when Amazing Stories premiered! Even in those days (over 20 years ago) I was a huge collector of movie soundtracks and the music from the show totally caught my attention. The fact that no soundtrack was ever issued for the show bummed me out BIG time... so much so that I wrote a letter to the editor of Starlog Magazine in hopes that it would get published and the powers-that-were at Amblin would see my letter, get a clue and release a soundtrack. My letter was published but the powers-that-were.. were powerless and no soundtrack. That sucked!
Intrada has pulled it off! Way to go guys!!!! It's been a long wait but finally the right treatment for an awesome collection of scores get their proper release.
I can't wait for Anthology Number 2!!!!
One more thing... about that $39.95 that I paid for the original issue of the Red Dawn soundrack LP back in the '80's..... I bought two and both were lost in family moves from one Air Force Base to another....can you help me out?
