I weighed all the obvious choices -- "The Riders of Doom", "Clever Girl", "Sea Attack #1", "Destruction of the Black Fortress", "The Battle for Endor", "First Blood", "Desert Chase", "Chasing Rockets", "Break Out", "No Escape", "The Big Jolt!', "Den and the Queen", "The Quidditch Match", "Massacre/Canoes", "Escape from Piz Gloria" -- but had to decide on...

"The Battle for Endor"

Nearly twelve minutes of relentless action (for three locations/plot elements), multiple character themes at work, with incredibly intricate writing and explosive orchestrations.

I have always been partial to Mancini's Arctic Whale Hunt from "The White Dawn". What a rousing piece of music!

The Battle of Endor is too playful for what I call a pure action cue, but its is indeed a masterful symphonic cue !
I think we should have clearly defined what is an action cue before !

I know this is against the grain around here, but I simply don't like Total Recall as a score. It worked fine for the movie, but it's a dreadful stand alone in my opinion. I love and adore Jerry's work, but that is one that left me seriously cold. I used to describe the music sounding like a running chainsaw in an empty garbage can-just a lot of noise.

I know I am in the minority on this one.
