Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Yes I'm hoping for more RCA releases, I suppose it would depend on the minimum amount Intrada could licence. 3000 looks right for "In Harm's Way", but I don't think Addison's "The Amorous Adventures Of Moll Flanders", or Bernstein's "The Silencers" would sell that amount. We shall see.

I received this Friday (thanks, hamsters!), and I am so glad I grabbed this. Doug, I can see why you love "The Rock" so much. At the same time, perhaps my favorite statement of the first part of the theme is at 0:22 in "Battle Theme from 'In Harm's Way.'" There's a certain quality to it, between the buildup, the orchestrations, and the performance, that give it a marvelously triumphant feeling--and not just triumphant, but a sort of sense of summoning strength after trial, and emerging through it. I don't know exactly what it accompanies in the film, but that's what I get, and it's just terrific--it's quickly becoming one of my favorite Goldsmith moments. I very much want to see the film now. Thanks so much for getting this treat out for us!
