I'm a completist, personally, but maybe it's the mystique of A) this being a release so long held back and B) Horner actually revisiting this wonderful score, but I'm actually quite curious to hear this assembly. Yeah, it would've been awesome to have every note in pristine sound, but until now, we had to deal with...alternative methods of hearing the music (albeit in pretty good quality for being alternative). I'm just ecstatic that I actually buy a legitimate release of Honey, I Shrunk the Kids! That's pretty awesome! Yeah, it can be disappointing, but I think there's a line between expressing your desire for a complete package and spewing venom and throwing tantrums, and unfortunately it seems like that line has been crossed once or twice or so.

So once again, thanks a million to everyone involved in making this release a reality, and I excitedly await my package in the mail!

Got this yesterday. What a treat to hear a cue like "Test Run" properly mixed and produced, and turned up REALLY LOUD. Family adventure scores not involving the clash of CGI armies don't usually get a score like this any more -- jazzy and robust and intense.

The only unfortunate thing is that the score devolves into the usual Frankenhorner thing after a while. Lots of very familiar pieces strung throughout. Lots. (And someone correct me, but hadn't Horner lifted "Powerhouse" before? I seem to remember it popping up in a cue in "Project X".)

Exemplary production and sound quality. Boss Geek Bond's notes: stellar. Horner's Roger Rabbit cartoon-short scores might have made a fun extra addition but I can understand how legal tangles between Disney and Amblin may have prevented that.
