Allow me to ask the question once more:

Didn't Kühni's question focus on releases rather than scores?
Not "what are the greatest film scores" but "what do you consider the best releases / score presentations / special editions?"

I found this interesting because less (often) addressed than the "best score" question.

A so-so score could then make the list, if it got an exceptional release.

I admit I wasn't reading the topic carefully so my sincere apologies for that.

Of course Mutiny on the Bounty belongs to top10 of most important releases. No arguing here !

I think a very important CD release was Basil Poledouris' CHERRY 2000. No I'm not a fan of the music, but if my memory is correct it was the very first restored soundtrack club CD ever released, wasn't it ?
