I tried for a few years to sign up for FSM's board. It seems their activation e-mails were lost or deleted by AOL's e-mail server. I tried again using an alternate e-mail address and had no problems.

Apparently, there is a massive amount of traffic on the FSM site this morning, or just a lot of people trying to log on. Earlier, I was able to get on it sporadically but kept getting kicked out and have been unsuccessful signing in since-

I have been having trouble accessing the site, off and on, for seveal weeks, but have always been able to spend "some" time there.

Not the past few days, however. It won't open for me no matter what. I know the Oscars and the Varese Club announcements had folks hetted up and posting like mad, but the sad truth is that FSM is having server difficulties.

Very frustrating.

That said:

Last night's Oscars -- what a BORE. The most disappointing Oscarcast I'ver ever seen (and I've seen all of 'em since 1962). And Jon Stewart -- Y-A-W-N.

The Varese Club titles: What a pleasant surprise! A nice assortment...something for nearly everyone (and a lot for everyone who like variety and all ages of music).

Boy, do I agree there, the worst Oscar telecast ever. It seems to be the general consensus here at work, too. Billy Crystal is sorely missed. I knew Williams was going to lose out o Brokeback Mountain's score, still a disapointment, though. I would have to say that 90% of the time, the wrong score wins.

As to the Varese releases, like most all, just delighted to see Ghostbusters at long last- yes, I think these were some of nicest new releases from Varese in a while.

It was hectic the past few weeks; accessing the site and moving from apge to page is now becoming increasingly more difficult with each visit and each page.

I have not been ableto get on to the FSM since yesterday (Sunday). They must have serious overload problems.
