This is so unbelieveable. Anyone wants to take bets on how long it will take until Ghostbusters is sold out? I would give it a month and a half

Yes, I ordered Ghostbusters immediately, as well as Return to Peyton Place (you can never go wrong with Waxman!) and the Delerue CD- which will probably be gone by the end of the day- still, no Goldsmith-- which disapoints me a little....

I got up at 3:00 AM, ordered all four offerings and was back in bed by 3:15.

I was also up at 3:00 a.m. (12 midnight Varese Standard Time) to see what was offered. I ordered An Almost Perfect Affair as well as Ghostbusters. It was rather neat hitting the refreash button and watching them appear one at a time about every minute or so. The last one was Ghostbusters and I nearly jumped right out of my chair I was so happy.

It's so nice that Varese favors their European customers with their timings. Anyway this batch is really one of the bests, it's well balanced.

I have this Delerue score on LP and it's a personal 'perfect affair' for me, I *thought* it might get the CD release now and it truly DID !

As of this score has been bootlegged / pirated several times (it was never released commercially before) it is a fine idea to come up with a limit of 3000. Many ppl are now able to obtain this score.
The illegal discs never had any value (nor they've been collectible). I know some guys collecting them, now realizing they wasted their money.

Once again: Releasing even a bootlegged/pirated score is the best way to push those things off the market. Thanks Varese.

I did the refresh thing too and saw them appear about every 2 minutes.
I added each to my cart as soon as it appeared: Delerue, hm, good; Waxman? good to; Conti? surely fun little scores.

Then, at 0:06, seeing Ghosbusters was quite a (good) shock; had I not been sitting, I would probably have been quite literally floored.

The whole thing was done by 0:07-8 Varèse time.

I hope they can eventually manage to get Gremlins as well.
Silly question: can't anybody try to approach Steven Spielberg himself, through John Williams and other collaborators? He may not be directly concerned by the rights, but he did produce the movie, and thought highly of Goldsmith as well, so he could surely be quite instrumental in finally getting Gremlins properly released.

In any case, this will surely boost the next speculative & hopeful "Back to the Future / Alien / ..." threads

Ordered them all except for the Waxman (I figure that'll be around for a few aeons yet). This is proving a very, very expensive year. If FSM, Varese, Intrada, LaLa and so on could have a couple of months off, maybe I could catch up and replenish my dwindling cashpile...
