I'm already nostalgic for 2nd hand CD & bookshops, where you'd go in looking for one thing, & always come out with something else. I think in a couple of years I'm going to be nostalgic for large record stores; online buying is great, but it's also great to get out of the house.

But in all honestly, I don't remember ANY of the LEs selling out, not even the Varese 1000s (which tended to be available from SAE/Intrada/Moviemusic for a while after), in less than the time one would spend sleeping. Sure, you shouldn't have to stay up, but as it stands now there's always announcements that stuff is COMING so you should have time to check if you care so much...


...on the flip side, I really DO hate the fact that very often, these are really one chance, forever, in a sense, or at least many many years. It's not limited to film scores, of course, but...it's still kinda annoying. Especially with the direction that a lot of things are going in, i.e. "Missed out? You can still pay almost as much for digital files/a CDR"
