For Stunt Man - The 25+ minutes that do exist on the LP/CD are very representative of the score - and I've always loved them. But I just finished watching the movie (big fan - saw it in its original theatrical release) on DVD tonight (good presentation) and there are indeed many more subtle moments of DF's score which didn't make it to the LP/CD. There is also on occasion some very low key scoring which does not even sound like DF (including a few tracks to my ears which sounded mono - the DVD is stereo) - but no credit is given at film end that I noticed. It is a 130 minute film - and there is a lot of underscore.
But this is just a wonderful capture by Intrada (along with a good Conti I also own on LP!).
Both the film and the score are such "odd/different items" - how wonderful that they both got preserved!
And those classic hamsters always deliver on time!!
