Hello everyone,

after I was a longtime reader, I thought it's time to write something.

For nearly every interest there exists an wiki today (LOST; Battestar Galactica; Star Trek - to name a few), so why not for filmmusic?
Out of this question, we started an project called scorepedia.org
It is an set of wikis - language wise - which are linked together. Just like the Wikipedia does.

The wikis share things like users and images, so if you upload any media, you can use it one all of the other wikis. This saves space and prevents duplicates (I won't go to much into technical details).

These are the two languages we are starting with.

As this project is the replacement for an other projekt called 'Filmmusik Wiki', there is no content yet on the english wiki and there are several articles in the german one.

This project is - in the way Web 2.0 works often - in beta at the moment. We hope you can enjoy this and participate in the way you want. Everything is discussable. Don't hestitate with questions and/or critics.

Well, as an little example, here is the german article of . There are several things missing like detailed background about the label and so on.

Sorry but I don't speak german, as many of us... This is probably why you don't get any answer to the topic !

Actually, I have been busy reformatting and reinstalling everything since Sunday; I did see the message, but could not find time to reply until now.
Then, I was looking for a previous thread (I wonder why the search feature could not find it):



As you'll see, Nicolai and Ellen suggested setting up a wiki; I tried, but the whole thing seemed so complex, that I just could not take the time to do it-- and the "wikipedia wiki software" I downloaded also severely crashed at some point in my attempts.

I have not visited your wiki yet, Marcus, but you're welcome to using some of the ideas I presented in that thread.

Browsing through the German pages rapidly, I like what I see, but here's a bit of criticism:
- rather than "Musikanalyse", I would call the category "Glossary",
- and keep "Musikanalyse" for the articles containing actual analyses of specific scores or cues
