I don't know why some people tend to dismiss Mr. Jarre. I love many of his scores and I think it's been a long time since the few FSM and Varese releases. The last one we've seen was basically a re-packaging (La Caduta degli dei).

I think that titles like FIREFOX or TOPAZ would raise a wide interest.

His original music for ISADORA (as much/little as there is of it) is great too.

How about TOKYO BLACKOUT? I've always been curious about this score, but not enough to shell out $300 for the rare Japanese CD pressing. I'd love to see INTRADA release this one.

TOKYO is ok, I wasn't that taken with most of it, except the love stuff, and I'm a HUGGGGGGGGGGGE Jarre fan. I wish SOMEONE would get to PRANCER, not sure who has the rights on this one, but it's just gorgeous....it uses most of the same orchestration as JACOBS LADDER (celtic harp, piano, orchestra for the big moments, EVI, electronics), but in a tonal, melodic way....always thought it was the nice, light adjunct to the mostly dark, atonal LADDER score, and both were written around the same time. Compare the two someday, it's great fun

"Young Doctors in Love" would be amazing. As well as some expanded/remastered re-editions like Enemy Mine, Tai Pan, Is Paris Burning?, The Man who would be the King, Night of the Generals, The Professionals, Ryan's Daughter, etc.

Or some previous LP-only: Island at the Top of the World, Villa Rides! or The Longest Day.

Too many great scores absent from availability.
