If Intrada was the only one out there, we may not be discussing this. But the reality is they're not.

There are several outlets to keep track of, and only so much time in one's day/week/month. Considering the saturation of the market at this point and the desire on the part of people like me to not miss out on super-limited releases, doing this a little less often but with a little more potency and choice each time seems like a fine way to "mature" the market.

why did downloads even enter the discussion? Has that ever been on Intrada's agenda? It's certainly never been voiced publicly by them....

I talked about downloads because I read somewhere that "experts" tell that in the coming few years people will buy more download than physical CD... I'm afraid this day will happen, even if I don't want it.
You can't, in 2008, enter into the economy aspect of releasing film scores and avoid downloads - in my opinion of course.
