For those who remember Roger's joke about BENJI being the next Special CD.
It so happens that the official Benji site has CDs for sale...
http://www.benji.com/BenjiMarket/BuySoundtracks.htm
I just e-mailed the site to confirm that these discs are official and not just CDRs, and this is what transpired:
DM:
Hello Nancy,
I had a quick question about the soundtrack CDs you have available on your website, which is:
Are the CDs you have for sale official pressings or CDR transfers? I happen to have an LP of the original Benji film score and would like the CD edition, however I'm not interested in buying a CDR copy as I could transfer it myself. If the CDs on your site are genuine official remastered pressings (not CDR), then I would be overjoyed.... and would purchase it.
Cheers
NANCY:
Not sure what you mean.
The CDs are mastered from the original tape masters of the film soundtrack.
DM:
Hello,
Oh, I mean the CDs you are selling, the CDs themselves.
Are they greenish or gold looking CDRs which are cheap and look homemade OR are they professionally produced silver discs pressed by a professional company or record label?
The digital audio transfer from the mastertapes is one thing, but the medium on which the CDs are pressed is important.
Cheers
NANCY:
