Twenty-seven years. I must have purchased the occasional populist soundtrack prior to 1980, but the score that I can recall signaling the onset of my obsessive phase was Pino Donaggio's Dressed to Kill LP on Varese. My mom fed the fire by loving it as much as I did.

I started Recording music of the TV screen about 1988 - 89 when I was about 7 years old (Let's Get Harry, Killer Klowns among others).

I started buying Soundtracks about 1993 First CD's was Stephen King's SLEEPWALKERS, KUFFS, SPLIT SECOND and Bram Stoker's DRACULA.

Already had an old LP of Beverly Hills Cop I bought in 1988.

Then I've had my ups and downs in my collecting years.
Was at my peak of collecting in 1997 then It started to go down selling a few CD's here and there (Needed Money), But Now it's up again and better than ever.

1959 with Peter Gunn being my first soundtrack of sorts. I can't even begin to guess how much stuff I have if you count lp's, cassettes, and CD's.

I started taping off the TV when I was around 16 and I'd gotten a few albums (Back to the Future, A View to a Kill) and even got the Top Gun soundtrack (I know, I know...) on LP for Christmas, but I didn't start seriously collecting until two years later when I got my local record store to send off for the cassette copy of Rambo III (Barbados was/is great for local music but not so great if you're into non-song-loaded OSTs) even before I saw the movie. Why that didn't occur to me earlier I do not know.

I've still got that cassette.

The 1st LP I can remember buying was Enter The Dragon, in 73. I inherited a number of soundtracks earlier when my brother was in the Navy, but I think that was the first one I bought with my own...allowance lol.

Roughly since 1979 when I purchased the LP for The Black Hole.

I'm pretty sure i'm the youngest here.
I've been a collector since 2005. Started with albums (CDs, of course, though I do have about 150 LPs - love them) such as Rambo: First Blood Part II, Rocky and The Film Music Of John Barry - needless to say, the latter marked me for life!!
Since then, upon discovering that film music labels actually exist, i've been spending countless hours and money on this passion. I'm very lucky to belong to such a unique and art-loving community (and lucky to afford it living in a third world country).
