Hello all,

Doug let us understand that at least two recordings where performed by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra.

The clue was in Doug's corner, at the time of the rerecording of SPELLBOUND:

"11/25/06

Back from trip to Eastern Europe. Splendid week will yield exciting project for March-April period. Other developments will allow cool stuff for the coming months ahead, too! (...)"

So what could it be ? Probably a golden age score... is it Doug ?

Hope it will be anything but Rozsa. JOAN OF ARC would be fantastic if it is really that good as some people say I'll have to get that film to check it Although I understand the arguments in other Excalibur topics that make this score not a very good candidate

I would love to hear a complete Captain Blood digital recording...

I'd certainly love to hear more excalibur recordings, too... but I wouldn't be too surprised if all the whining and complaining everyone did over "Spellbound" discouraged future projects of that nature a great deal. But yeah, absolutely, I would love to hear more of these recordings, whether it's more Rozsa or someone else. I'm even willing to pay the slightly higher price tag... if I have to.

... why not Tiomkin's LOST HORIZON ?

Pearhaps not the cheaper to produce (chorus, ethnic percussions...), but a modern crisp recordind could be marvellous ! AND the music a gem.

When I saw the thread title I thought it was an announcement that Trevor Jones' score for John Boorman's EXCALIBUR was finally getting a release.

Sorry... it was not my goal so I just changed the Topic title...
