Our 2-CD set for Back To The Future will soon be a part of history. One of our best selling "limited editions" ever, we are just three or four boxes away from hitting the 10,000 unit maximum allowable under the current American Federation of Musicians "historical rate" policy. If you've been sitting on the fence with this one (for reasons I couldn't fathom!) it would be a good idea to pounce now. What remains here in stock is all that's left... and that ain't much.

Because Back To The Future remains one of the most important film scores of the last several decades, we have pursued a new agreement allowing us to bring a single disc release into the marketplace and keep the score available for future generations. This MAF edition will feature the score as presented on CD 1 of the current double-disc set, which is the score as heard in the picture. CD 2 with all of the bonus early recordings will simply go off into that place where, to paraphrase the Doc, "they don't need roads".

A special release for sure. It's a shame that the market is no longer big enough to sell even 5,000 copies of many scores beyond the Treks, new Galactica series and stuff like that, but it is good to see that at least some recent albums did this well.

I bet that a definitive release of Part II would also sell like hotcakes despite being more of the same with less impressive recording quality.

Terrific score indeed! I'm elated to hear that it will remain in print in some form, as well. For those waiting on the 2-disc set, I wouldn't wait long - especially with this wonderfully generous sale in place.

Glad to hear this was selling so well, but then again, this was one of the most requested unreleased grail scores of all times I reckon.
In any case, this is a score that deserves to stay in print forever.

Now officially reading "Sold Out"

That release didn't quite make it to the year 2015!

Congratulations! To be honest, this cynic (some would say "grump") is amazed. 10,000 copies? For a score soundtrack? Who knew?

10 000 is a water drop in the ocean of the 4,5 millions of Frozen soundtracks that have been sold this year. And let's not speak about the more than 30 millions of Titanic album, because that was in a complete different time for the music industry !
But I'm glad Intrada could achieve that as a specialty label !

So I managed to get a copy just before it sold out.

Excellent release!! One thing, though, has me wondering - and this isn't so much a criticism as it is something I'm curious about - how come there's no "cue assembly" list/chart in the liner notes, with the numbers and everything? Call me a nerd, but those lists (along with Tech Talk) are always my favorite part of the liner notes.
