I noticed that Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure has been released for download by Intrada.

Are there any plans to release other expansions in digital format (including those Paramount titles that LLL recently removed from iTunes)?

It seems that StudioCanal grants labels download rights, which in my opinion is the way it should be with all studio transactions that don't involve a second licensor.

48HRs was on iTunes for what seemed like a day, but that was a couple of years ago, I think.

We're working on getting deeper into downloads... balancing everything of course with pushing our favored music delivery format for the moment... those wonderful CDs.

As you do get more into digital downloads, I hope you will make an effort to include services like HDTracks and 7Digital that specialize in high-resolution, lossless releases. Obviously, being on iTunes and Amazon is pretty much mandatory from a business perspective, but as bandwidth and storage both continue to become less expensive, I really hope that high-quality downloads become the standard instead of the exception.

Listeners should recognize that most of the digital rights remain with the studios and are not typically included in the various small soundtrack label's licensing agreements. It's not uncommon that we locate, restore and prepare all these soundtracks and prepare them for release on CD with the understanding that the licensors maintain rights and first options on releasing them digitally after that. The incentives for studios to license all this music is pretty small. Their being in a position to exploit these premieres and expanded albums further via digital platforms is really one of the few things they get out of the deals. So usually they decide on how to present the downloads and streaming audio be it lossless, compressed, truncated and whatnot. Whatever titles we do actually control or share in such manner, we are currently learning about and exploring everything on the horizon as best as we can.

Doug, with the recent sellout of Cat's Eye, is there a possibility of a digital release, considering that StudioCanal is quite open to licencing their titles digitally?

Also, will Intrada be involved in the digital release of Paramount titles previously released digitally by La-La Land as part of their first batch in 2016 (including The Ghost and the Darkness and Breakfast at Tiffany's)?
