Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Hi everyone!

First time post here and I wanted to ask about something that I have been wanting for a long long time now.

So about a year ago I heard that since Disney and Intrada had partnered up, the likelihood of Bruce Broughton's theme park music being released was very high. I think there's a lot of great material in there that hasn't seen the light of day.

So my question is; is this project ever going to happen? I would love if there was a box set or something with everything in it. With all these Legacy albums being released it would be a shame not to see more theme park music becoming public.

Anyways any answer would be greatly appreciated, as I love Broughton's scores for these (especially From Time To Time and Ellen).

I remember Roger saying they definitely considered publishing Disneyland music. Who wouldn't ? But the question is : will Disney allow it ? It seems that pretty much of the greatest park music (Timekeeper, Cinemagique (Bruce Broughton), Space Mountain (Steve Bramson), The Phantom Manor (John Debney)) are owned by Disneyland Paris which makes it harder to get the rights.

I hope that this is a compilation that one day will be actually made, since this in the fact the ONLY album on my holy grail list... With David Newmans Coneheads Intrada recently did a quite interesting release pairing several short scores on one album. But in case of theme park music i´m used to wait.... took 19 years to see John Debney´s soundtrack for the french version of the Haunted Mansion from Disney Paris(!) released properly! So i hope there is something still in the works concerning Bruce Broughton´s work.

I hope I live long enough... seriously.

This is what worries me about this release. Apparently to get this released the rights need to be cleared with Imagineering, who knows how long that could take...

So many of the attractions are now defunct. Why would anyone want to stand in the way of this release?

I'm not sure really, with all the latest Legacy and collaboration cd's it would seem like this is the perfect time to do this. Especially since Broughton is an Intrada local.

I can't help but think what an excellent 30th anniversary release this would be for Intrada... but I'm afraid it will be a 50th anniversary release.

Two years later, still nothing. I guess we should assume this one is DOA.

Looks like Ellen's Energy Adventure has closed for good, really excited for Intrada to release this!!!

Broughton talks about his love of writing theme park music in the notes for THE THREE MUSKETEERS. Here's hoping this work finally gets released in 2018.
