Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Well 2014 was great year for Delerue on Intrada: we got two wonderful and much sought after scores released on CD. Will the fun continue for 2015?

Also, I wonder if we are ever going to get that wonderful rejected score who's title I most certainty do not need to mention...

Someone on Facebook (who appears to be in the know) stated this:

"Georges scores approximately 95 minutes of music for "Something Wicked This Way Comes"

Followed by

"All I can say is that, I came upon TWO DISCS of Delerue's master sessions - First was around 45 minutes of music. Second was about 54 or so. Handwriting illegible. But the music is there... it was even put on to those two CDs."

and

"But from what I have heard others say - it was digitally recorded much like Barry's "The Black Hole" so the quality should - and from what I have also heard, IS - in top condition. So there is no reason why we cannot hear the score in all it's grandiose nature"

Only Intrada can confirm...

I might be thinking of another score, but I thought it was already confirmed by Roger that the Delerue score was recorded in the same 32-track digital format as the Horner score and that it is available. Patience required.

Yes, patience...well it's going to be 6 years so I figure I can wait some more.

But I think that the release that Universal France put out (30 minutes and from poor quality back up tapes and with a major glitch) probably put a kink in Intrada's plan to release this score...
