I just watched and was amused by two soundtrack inside jokes. Right after the opening credits, the doctor of the clinic is listening to something quite dissonant on his ipod. It starts out loud with an exterior shot of the building and then gets tinny as it shows him with his earbuds in. Turns out it's Brian May's score to THE SURVIVOR. Later in the film he's listening to his iPod again, this time it's playing May's score to the original PATRICK. That was probably the best part of the film.

That's cool. It is always good to see a modern filmmaker who takes so much interest in the legacy of film scores, which is also apparent by the hiring of horror/thriller scoring master Pino Donaggio.

I'll probably never see the film, but the album is fantastic. Classic Donaggio in every respect.

Flick is on streaming Netflix, watching it now & just passed the 1st headphone scene.. that wuz cool :) Sure is a uniquely designed looking picture at least & Pino is right up front in the mix, so I'm loving that.

I've seen worse but um....yeah. Still nice to hear Pino working out...too bad not more room for his romantic writing, and it's an overly frenzied score, but what can you do? He did get a museum scene to score that took me back to Dressed to Kill for a minute. Was that a split diopter (sic?) shot towards the end of a bowl hitting the floor in the final confrontation? Brian May's a killer, 'nuff said!
