Just popping in for my annual "pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeease" release Psycho II in complete form. Love ya, Intrada. I know you're gonna deliver this baby some day. I just know it. Mother told me so.

I hope you get it soon. There have been many requests for this, but one can easily surmise that you will by far be the most appreciative of its release.

Think I'll be up there near the top in my appreciation for a release of Psycho II. Have wanted a full release ever since setting up a microphone and holding it at the tv speaker to record bits not on the cassette score I had.

Waiting for news on this score is the sole reason I check these forums every day. I know announcements don't come every day but I just long for the day I see it become official.

Psycho III would be cool too but it's Goldsmith's amazing score for Psycho II that I really really want full and unedited.

I believe Intrada must be working on this! One of my top grails since watching the film in the late 80's, before getting the LP, then the CD then wanting the complete thing!

Also hope they're working on Burwell's Psycho III that is also great and deserve a complete release (the LP only contained a portion of the score).

I sound like a broken record saying this, but it's not all that surprising given that this release would require the cooperation of both Universal Pictures and UMG. To put it mildly, neither are exactly known for speediness when it comes to soundtrack releases.

Well I am with you. I too have been excrutiatingly awaiting this release, as I know Intrada would be the ones to pull it off the right way. So many great cues not heard on the LP - including the film version of "Don't Take Me" which is about :30 longer! Plus that great cue when Norman first gets back to the house in the end, and that variation of the theme plays - sends shivers down my spine!

Can only hope the time for this one is near...

P.S. SUPERGIRL too, please?

Psycho II definitely should be available. It is a very underrated Goldsmith score. I do own the original vinyl release bought as a teen at the time of the film's release, and the Varese Sarabande CD release of this score from the 1990s. It's time this one gets another shot, I remember there were some interesting cues in the movie that are not on the album.

I bought the vinyl also at young age,and began ordering the tracks in film order.
On the back side from the cover Richard Franklyn said : Selections on this album are not in the order in which they occur in the picture.The order has been changed by Jerry to make a coherent music statement-an evocation of the feeling and texture of the picture.
I want completely a complete score from Psycho II.
