Intrada Soundtrack Forum

Sometimes you have the most weirdest dreams. I think the dream I had last night is kind of borderline to weirdness.

You see, I dreamt that Intrada had released a soundtrack to the Swedish horror movie Besökarna (The Visitors) from the late eighties. It included both the score and some songs. It must have been songs inspired by the movie because I do not remember any songs in the picture. The movie is a horror movie although it has a lot of humor in it too, especially from one of the characters, played by famous Swedish actor Johannes Brost who plays a ghost hunter. The movie was a huge hit when it came and the Ersgård family who made it went to Hollywood after that movie. However there is no soundtrack released to Besökarna as far as I know. Actually there are several huge boxoffice movies from Sweden that did not get any soundtrack releases at all. So when I had my dream last night I thought that I should mention this here.

You know, it would be hilarious if Intrada actually had this soundtrack in their pipeline. It seems so far out of left field that I can even imagine MLB player Torii Hunter being caught by surprise.

If were talking about motion Picture scores for Swedish movies one of my unreleased grails is Bengt Palmers score to STRUL (1988).
A Faltermeyer esq score in the veins of Beverly Hills Cop.

I tried to get in Contact with Palmers about 5 years ago about the Music to this Swedish Classic but got no answer.

The movie is about a highschool chemistry teacher that gets framed and sentenced to jail for produceing synthetic drugs.
While in jail he find a forgotten windshaft that leads to the outside world and he starts to clear his name and hunt down the bad guys that put him behind bars.

Always thought this would be cool concept for Jim Carrey to sink his teeth into and do a US remake.

Funny dream, Tobias.

I remember BESÖKARNA as an excellent horror film when I saw it in the 90s, but when I revisited it again recently, it didn't hold up quite well (except the scene in bed with the wife's open eyes, which still gives me the chills).

I can't remember anything of the score. Who did that?

I actually have this on laserdisc with english language and the best line is when that Postman and Brost talks and the line They fighting in the mailbox (Brost misunderstands the postman and thinks it is ghosts fighting when it is actually the couple fighting about that the delivery of the post) is spoken.
A very funny and thrilling movie but do not remember the music in it at all...
