Michael Giacchino's TOY STORY OF TERROR + other Pixar scores

Michael Giacchino has scored Pixar's upcoming TV special TOY STORY OF TERROR, and it seems that the score is going to be available as a download this week, running about 21 minutes.

Tracklist:

While I'll no doubt get the download to tide me over, what I (and I'm sure other fans) would really like is a CD release! This looks like a job for Intrada, in conjunction with Walt Disney Records!

Now, 21 minutes is a bit short, so my suggestion (and credit where credit is due, also the suggestion of Mastadge on the FSM board) would be to bulk up a potential CD release with some of Giacchino's other, hitherto commercially unreleased, Pixar work.

He's scored quite a few shorts for Pixar now:

ONE MAN BAND (2005)
LIFTED (2006)
PARTLY CLOUDY (2009)
DAY AND NIGHT (2010)
LA LUNA (2011)

The latter two scores are particularly strong, but they are all great and would be welcomed by Giacchino fans, I'm sure. These short scores added to TOY STORY OF TERROR would probably run to between about 50 to 60 minutes, and would make for a lovely CD. I know that DAY AND NIGHT was released on the TOY STORY 3 cast and crew promo CD, but a commercial release for those of us who can't shell out $600.00 or whatever it's going for now would be great!

And isn't LA LUNA more like a Chris Tilton's score?

I second this motion immensely! A "Giacchino at Pixar" compilation CD would be a great idea!

You could go further and do a "Giacchino at Disney" one, and include Star Tours, Space Mountain, The Karate Guard, How To Hook Up Your Home Theater, The Ballad of Nessie, and the 3 Prep and Landing shorts!

Well, Pixar just announced another Toy Story special with a score by Michael Giacchino. Maybe some day we'll get a release with the score from both these short films, and all those shorts. It'd be packed.
