This is another title that you have to ask Varese for, because they own the album rights.

I'm not sure what's missing that is all that interesting. My only problem with the existing album is that the dynamic compression is a bit too much. We'll probably just have to forever enjoy it for what it is.

A complete Nightmare On Elm Street 2 would be my preference. My personal favourite score of the series and there's at least one very prominent cue missing from the current release. As I recall the Main Title was also slightly remixed for the album release.

the original Elmstreet has most of the music on the CD (atleast all the important stuff) but I would love to see a Dream Warriors (Part 3) release with Ken Harrisons stuff included thou

Yes, i would take 1 and 3 expanded complete score too

The first nightmare on elm street by charles bernstein is a luxe electronic score and is a must to see an expanded score

As far as Charles Bernstein and horror is concerned, I really want a release of April Fool's Day. But, alas, MV recently stated that Varese in fact also owns that in perpetuity.

I read an interview a while ago where Bernstein stated that he tried to get Varese to expand Elm Street, but they were not interested. With him at Varese's Halloween concert, maybe they will respect him by releasing April Fool's Day and an expanded Elm Street in the future. Nah, I'm clearly a fool for thinking that.

Ugh I HATE VS! They are so stingy!

As for a previous comment - There is actually a LOT of music from the original Elm Street that is not on the soundtracks last two existences.

1. The complete cue of the Freddy Chant (both with the children's vocal and w/o)
2. Tina's Dream - This is a cue that begins with a subtle variation of the theme, as Freddy stalks Tina and Nancy in their sleep. The falling Crucifix, the way Tina wakes up and rocks are thrown at the window, then Freddy whispers to her. The chase in the alleyway, and her ultimate demise. One big music cue and NONE of it was on the releases.

3. Nancy walks to school. - Not a long cue, but a great variation of the theme and not included.

4. There is more music to the "Sleep Clinic" scene that is effective and creepy.

5. There is a whole cue before and after Nancy meets with Glenn about dreams and survival. Begins when she meets Glenn at the bridge, then when she gets home and her mother has put bars on the windows.

6. The full search finale is severely truncated and some good moments (the rack focus on Freddy's glove) are missing.

7. The big finale song/Chase through the house.

All of these are welcome cues that I have been wanting to hear on a soundtrack forever!

Varese can still surprise every now and then. This set includes approximately 3 hours of previously unreleased music and a nifty little Freddy sweater to keep the box warm.

A fitting tribute to Wes Craven.
Bet this sells out fast though.

Woooooaaaooow This box looks amazing. I love it, first LALALANd with their F13th box, then Intrada putting out the great Jaws scores and now Varese doing the Elmstreet...love it
