My hope is that the INCHON EFFECT can be used as a learning device instead of a constant source of complaining...

In looking back at recent Intrada reissues,
INCHON is the only one that was a limited issue on both occasions,
versus all other reissues that were and still are wide release titles:
TOMBSTONE, SILVERADO & RAMBO III... plenty for all!

If anyone owns SWITCHBACK, Special Collection Volume One, you'll notice that it had no specified number for its limited pressing, just like the original INCHON CD. As Intrada's release abilities evolved, so did the standard of indicating the actual production limit...

There was no mistake made on INCHON at all.

The ultimate decision to limit the new 2CD NCHON at only 1500 copies is unfortunate because this new remaster is incredible and any Goldsmith fan should have it in their collection. The hype generated about this particular release is well deserved and I'd nominate it for best soundrack CD of the year.

I recommend that future albums in "limited" quantities come with a disclaimer that the issue is 1,500 copies (for example) but more MIGHT be pressed depending on demand (i.e., this is not an exclusive one-time only quantity).

THAT should keep the bitchers at bay. If not, ____ 'em.

Perhaps on some future CD releases it'll read:

"This pressing might be limited to 1500 copies".

I am not an "investor" and am NOIT lying. I didn't get certain limited edition scores to sell at some point in the future, I got them because I legitimately wanted them. And all this is kind of rather insulting coming from someone naming themselves "memorbilia".


The only duplicate I got, was of "Capricorn One", and I didn't get it to sell for profit, I got it so one day I could find someone with a still shrink wraped Varese "Predator" to exchange with. I'll hold out for a long while because I want that, but one day I may give up and sell it. But selling is the last course of action; I want the described exchange.


And furthermore, if I were rich, I'd buy multiple copies of certain limited editions, jsut to hold on to and sell at normnal price (no matter what the value) later to people who are legitimately looking for a copy. Just because I believe it's the right thing to do.

eBayers can go fudge themselves.
