Well, we thought Conan was because somebody in charge, I can't recall whom now, said they were damaged beyond use, to which the Thaxtonite, Ford A. Thaxton, said was right (at FSM). Then somebody else along thge way claimed good masters were missing.

We can hardly be blamed when people who should know better, tell us these things. Especially when it appears none os these people mentioned, "We haven't, however, checked the studio vaults yet".

What a great film it is.

I have the 1956 Capitol LP of Rozsa conducting exerpts from The Red House. This rerecording looks great, imagine the work involved from start to finish on a project like this.

I will be interested to see how they handle the music for the climax of the film.

I got used to hearing the Gerhardt recording for many years, and found out after seeing the film that the Gerhardt embellished it a bit, making it more dramatic.

Or if the film recording was altered and subdued.

Well, time will tell!
