Composers commentaries are always very interesting. I've enjoyed Trevor Rabin's "The 6th Day", although I'm not really a fan of his music, but he tells a lot about his way of composing and working in the soundtrack business, which is very informative. Also Marco Beltrami's commentaries for "Hellboy" and "I Robot" are worth listening. I hope when the new Omen comes to DVD, he will do another commentary, and tells us a little bit more about the time when he studied under Jerry Goldsmith in the early 90's.

I was just thinking how nice it would be if Christopher Young would do a DVD commentary, and than I read your reply.

I will buy the special edition of "The Fly 2",... very soon.

"The Fly 2", is also one of my favourite Christopher Young scores,... especailly track 9 "Bay 17 Mysteries". Thats a remarkable piece of music, a little mystery within it self.

You're going to buy the "Fly 2" dvd just so you can hear a twelve-minute commentary? Wow, you must be a big Young fan, because I've gotta warn you, that movie is simply terrible. I love Young's score, though. See "The Fly", if you haven't, which is easily one of the best horror films of the 80's, with a surprisingly moving performance by Jeff Goldblum. Good Howard Shore score, too.

The Fly is certainly the classic... but the second one imho is not so bad... its biggest problem was trying to follow the 1st one which is so much better... but the second one imho is still fine average film...
I was not very impressed when I saw it, but when I heard that 12minutes Chris Young's commentary where he says how much he is happy he did the film, I'd like to see it again... and enjoy his music in the film :)
