I'm afraid to say that I'm quite disappointed by the DVD of Fimucite by Varèse Sarabande. The good points are the impressive performance of the Tenerife film orchestra and choir and the general quality of the shooting of the concert (good choice of shots and many cameras were used). The bad points are the terrible sound quality of the music (compared to the CD on disc 2) which was heavily compressed in 192 kbps and the stereo only mix. It would have been nice to have a 5.1 mix for the DVD to present something different than on the CD (unless there was only 2 microphones on stage ?). About the video, it's not even presented in 16/9 but in "glorious" old 4/3. The technical aspects of the DVD are definitely not of our time.
Mr, Townson, it would have been great to have a dts track in 5.1 and a 16/9 image instead of these "VHS specs".
Anyway, the concert was GREAT and Diego Navarro & Joel McNeely rock !
