The Dresser / Testament (1983).

Two scores frequently requested by the collectors. Only ‘Testament’ received bootleg albums release in Europe. I bet many collectors out there want these two scores released.

Could you guys consider these two titles?

Hey,don't forget WOLFEN. Usually horror scores are not my cup of tea, but I have always remembered that one. I realize it may not have been from 1983. Just thought I'd put my two cents in.

The Dresser (elegant score for the Peter (KRULL) Yates directed pic and Testament (simplistic and quite moving) are very good choices. Let us add one more in 83 by the very busy Mr. Horner... UNCOMMON VALOR. Great score for an underrated action pic.

And, yes... 81's WOLFEN, very fond of. That was the first pic I saw at the theater that James Horner had done. It was quite overpowering the film's opening "kill's". Great stuff that came full circle for the incredible finale music on the deserted streets near the Twin Tower's. The brass, strings and percussion certainly get a workout during this sequence.

Do not forget the orchestral/choral work for Wes Craven's DEADLY BLESSING, also in 81... A great score as well.

The TESTAMENT boot the OP referred to sounds like crap at times. It's a great score though. The lyrical flute theme for the family in the film so so beautiful and bittersweet. The somber title theme is also very beautiful in a restrained, somehow dignifying way. "Dignifying" is the perfect word for this score - it's very restrained, remorseful and introspective, even if you haven't seen the film. Horner really shines when he writes this kind of Americana-flavored pastoral stuff. Most of his early work that I've heard is great: BATTLE BEYOND THE STARS, KRULL, DEADLY BLESSING, THE JOURNEY OF NATTY GANN, COCOON, SOMETHING WICKED THS WAY COMES, THE HAND (I'd like a release for this one too), etc...there's still plenty of great stuff out there needing release.
